Inmedix® CloudHRV™ Prototype

4-lead ECG-based HRV

Fundamentally, stress is controlled within the brain by the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The most common form of ANS testing is called heart rate variability (HRV).  The ANS controls heart rate (pulse) and very subtle heart beat-to-beat variations at rest. Sophisticated software algorithms can reduce a 5-minute ECG tracing (about 350 beats) to quantify ANS sympathetic (fight-or-flight) and parasympathetic (rest/restorative) components.

To conduct ANS stress research with HRV, Inmedix uses its CloudHRV prototype applying some of the same calculations currently trusted to guide elite athletic training among professional athletes to win Super Bowls and World Cups. This is a very different than that currently available in watches, rings and bands.

Inmedix engineers are repurposing and redesign this prototype to create a tool specifically suited to the clinical setting and is on the path to seek FDA 510(k) clearance.
